He <br />discussed the issue of water quality and said that SCMCI has agreed to <br />address these issues throughout the term of the agreement. <br />12. Update Board on <br />actions associated with NOV M-92-030 for failure <br />tailings impoundment (continued from the May 1992 <br />File No. M-83-141 <br />7.638 acres; 110<2) <br />status of corrective <br />to contain tailings in <br />Board Meeting). <br />Staff presented EXHIBIT A, a synopsis of events, May 22 to June 23, <br />1992, regarding this matter. <br />Staff said the Division inspected this site on June 23, 1992 to review <br />progress made by the operators toward completion of corrective <br />actions. Staff said that at the time of the inspection, it was found <br />that all of the tailings that had been spilled off-site had been <br />cleaned up completely and redeposited into the tailings impoundment. <br />Staff said that both parties had signed and submitted a detailed plan <br />for preventing future spills, and the Division deemed it adequate. The <br />
