This temporary arrangement is
urgently needed to provide WFC a means of handling spec coal
trucked from the Golden Eagle Mine.
The truck dump approved as part of TR-16 will still be constructed
to more effectively handle raw coal conveyed to the plant feed
stockpile area. The spec coal conveyor proposed in TR-16 will not
be constructed due to higher than expected construction costs.
The temporary truck dump and conveyor proposed is illustrated on
the attached site plan and described below.
Truck Dump
The truck dump will be constructed from structural steel which will
allow truck crossover and dumping into an 18-ton hopper. The
approach and exit ramps will be constructed from compacted earth
fill identical to the truck dump approved in TR-16. The design
dimensions of the dump structure are 14' long X 12' wide X 9' high
or a total of 1512 cubic feet.
Conveyor to Transfer Buildin4
Coal which is of customer quality will be conveyed via a 42"
conveyor from the truck dump to the existing transfer building.
Once inside the building a transfer chute will place the coal on
the existing silo conveyor.
Civil improvements to the area will again include excavation, fill
and grading of areas to accommodate the truck dump ramps and
maintain the approved Surface Water Control Plan.
