A modification to the nature and numbering of the Mining Plan phasing in the
southem part of the site generally comprising the future water storage Cell No.
3; and
2. A modification to allow mining through the southem permit boundary into an
adjoining, contiguous RMA permitted property named Ready Mixed Pit No. 1
(DBMS Pemut No. M-1985-017). A simultaneous Technical Revision request
for Permit No. M-1985-017 (TR-001) has also been prepared and is being
submitted separately, but with a copy attached hereto for reference.
The rationale for and details pertaining to the two items addressed in this Technical
Revision request are provided in the following paragraphs.
Mine Plan Phasing Chances
The previous phasing for Bromley Lakes Pit (including phase changes made in Technical
Revisions TR-001 and TR-002) maintained a Phase 11 area immediately west of the plant
site azea and comprising the original site fresh water and sedimentation ponds, This area
was originally conceived to be mined last and serve the plant while mining all other
phases. These fresh water and sedimentation pond areas served their purpose and were
abandoned as such well in advance of completing mining of the other phases. RMA
moved its fresh water source to Phase 3B and created sedimentation ponds in the northern
parts of Phases 7 and 8 some time ago to manage the amount of fines being generated at
the site. Phase 11 as originally planned, therefore, no longer serves any purpose and has
been incorporated into the southeast comer of Phase 7 and the northeast comer of Phase
2329 w Main Street 10 with this revision request. Anew Phase I I comprising the "land bridge" connecting
Suite 20 l the plant azea at Bromley Lakes to another contiguous RMA property to the north,
uttieton, Co ao i ~o Erger's Pond Pit (M-1998-036), is now planned consistent with Amendment AR-002.
303.703.1405
fax 303.703.1404 NOV: MV-1995-032
AB 10/18/05
Annual Fee: 09/28/06 CW
www.brierleyassociates.mm
