The following is our understanding <br />of the status of outstanding items and an expected time frame for responding to those items <br />which require a response from BMRI. <br />I. Outstanding Technical Revisions <br />A. TR-l5 Mottitorittg groundwater beneath tailings facility upon closure. BD+IItI is in <br />the process of reviewing the status and determining an appropriate response to outstanding <br />comments on TR-15. Our initial review indicates that drilling and monitoring of the angle holes <br />ntay ltot be as effective as. originally hoped. We are revisiting other methods to accort~plish the <br />monitoring objectiveg: , We hope.to have ~responsb5 back fo. yoti by September: . <br />B. '~R-17 ,process Fluid Transfer Procedures. Ouf letter to the Division dated July 7, <br />1995 should answer all of, the Divisioris coiicerns'and'~oirimeitts.l ~ "- ~~~=• / <br />C. TR-18 Permi;Modification, Partial backfilling of West Pit. Additional gcochemical <br />information and request for conditional approval hill be'sCnf to'the Division July.12, .99~. <br />D. TR-22 Environmental Protection Plan. We have received your comments on TR-22 <br />and are in the process of gathering additional information. B[vIRI expects to have responses to <br />you by the end of July. <br />II. Outstanding issues from 1992 N.O.V. <br />I[ is our understanding that the abatement schedule is no longer required. Alt tough we <br />have not received written comments from the Division on our initial Reclamation Evaluation <br />Report, we did meet with the Uwision and we are prepal ilig a ;ununary of r spouses to <br />comments raised by the Division during the meeting. We expect to have this submitt:d ready in <br />early September. Should you send us something prior to September we will be preps ~ed to <br />answer any of your questions in this submittal as well. <br />[II. Other outstanding issues <br />A. Phase II Raise I approval. We appreciate receiving approval for Phase II raise 1 and <br />consider that issue resolved. <br />B. M-l4 water level readings. A lettei regarding cvater level readings of M-14 will be <br />sent under separate cover.. <br />C. INCO monitoring. Different requiier~unts for INCO monitoring were contained in <br />TR-006 and TR-010.
