Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (The Division) has reviewed the permit revision <br />application materials submitted by Mountain Coal Company (MCC), C-1980-007, for the <br />purpose of adding 540 acres in the West Flatiron permit azea addition. This revision <br />proposes to add 690 acres to the affected azea with the federal coal lease COG- 67011. <br />This letter presents the Divisions preliminary adequacy questions, organized by the <br />pertinent sections of the rules and regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Boazd. The Division's deadline for PR-11 is Februazy 2, 2005. The Division may, for <br />good cause shown, extend the time for the proposed decision up to an additiona160 days. <br />To date no public comments have been received by the Division. Any comments <br />regazding the PR-11 application that may be received from the US Forest Service, the <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources, the State Historical Preservation Office, will be <br />forwarded to Mountain Coal Company. <br />Rule 2.03.6 (1) <br />1. Please review the permit area boundary description in Exhibit 2A for consistency with <br />the permit boundary that appears on Map 1, Several specific apparent inconsistencies are <br />noted. <br />a. In T13S, R90W, the description shows some small parcels in sections 22 and <br />23 while the map shows those entire sections lying within the permit boundary: <br />b.
