Individuals present during the 5/12/94 inspection included: <br />Stephen Rathbun Dept. of Interior, Office of Surface Mining; <br />Henry Austin Dept. of Interior, Office of Surface Mining; <br />Jim Perry <br />Randy Price <br />David Berry <br />Bobbie Mobley <br />Josephine Calkins <br />John Wilkes [II <br />Jerry Nettleton <br />George Patterson <br />Dept. of Interior, Bureau of Land Management; <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology; <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology; <br />Colorado State Land Board; <br />Colorado State Land Board; <br />Colorado State Land Board; <br />TerraMatrix; and <br />Kerr Coal Company, Marr Strip Mine. <br />The 5/12/94 inspection focused on backfilling, regrading, and drainage control for the <br />720 Pit and Pit 1 areas. Comments raised by the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology (DMG) inspectors, have been addressed through technical revision to the <br />mining and reclamation plan (TR-12). Office of Surface Mining (OSM) inspectors, <br />present at that inspection, have argued that Pit 1 reclamation did not satisfy <br />"approximate original contour' requirements. OSM concerns have been satisfied through <br />technical revision (TR-13). Kerr Coal Company anticipates that field implementation of <br />the plans approved through TR-13, will not be completed until the fall season of 1995. <br />As such, Kerr Coal Company has modified their original Phase I request to include only <br />
