Box 3 Division Director <br /> <br />Granby, CO 80446 Natural Resource Trustee <br /> <br />Re: Thompson Resource aka Horn Gravel Pit, Amendment Ap oval, Permit No. M-1983-102, Revision No. <br />,~'I-2 <br />Dear Mr. Thompson: <br />On Febrtuuy 14, 2007 the Mined Land Reclamation Board approved the Amendment application submitted to the <br />Division on September 15, 2006, addressing the following: <br />Extension of mining to the east with addition of 19..69 acres jor a total permitted acreage of 69.62 acres. <br />The terms of the Amendment No. 2 approved by the Board were incorporated into Permit No. M-1983-102. <br />The conditions of the Division approval are noted below. Please note that all other provisions of Permit No. M-1983-102 <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />Stipulation No. Description <br />No dust suppression chemicals will be used on site. <br />By no later than April 13, 2007, the operator will submit and complete an approvable monitoring plan for <br />Division consideration that will include no less than three monitoring wells placed to protect adjacent well <br />owners. Such monitoring plan will be submitted as a technical revision with copies to all objectors to the <br />amendment application. The data will be collected and submitted quarterly to the Division. <br />The revised estimated liability amount of $111,500.00 surety requirement exceeds the $34,640.00 surety performance <br />bond currently held. If you have not already done so, please submit additional bond in the amount of $76,860.00. The <br />revision will not be final until the bond is approved by the Division.
