Boyd, Reclamation Specialist <br />RE: File No. M-89-065; Timnath Pit, Adequacy Items <br />The following items must be addressed by the applicant in order to satisfy the <br />applicable requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101 et seq. and the Mineral Rules and <br />Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board- <br />Mining Plan (Exhibit D) <br />1) On page D-1, the application states that mining is expected to begin in <br />1986. Please submit a revised estimate of the commencement date, <br />2) Please provide additional details regarding your proposed dewatering <br />operations. What are the dimensions of the proposed dewatering trenches? <br />Wh•st pumping rate do you anticipate will be necessary to dewater the <br />site? Will pumping be continuous or intermittent? <br />Reclamation Plan (Exhibit E) <br />1) We entourage you to consider the possibility of creating two smaller ponds <br />rather than one large pond. This would provide enhanced wildlife benefits <br />as well as providing a more stable hydraulic/hydrologic configuration. /°[ c A s~~ <br />,L"s~.,ss <br />Water Information (Exhibit G) <br />1) The mining plan calls for relocation of two drainage ditches. What are <br />the historic flows in these structures? Please provide additional <br />information related to the design of the re locat~ structures and <br />supporting computations. <br /> <br />2) Floodway and Flood Fringe areas are delineated on the map~g provided. <br />WF~at is the recurrence interval of the event which is the basis for <br />designation of these areas?
