T
u
•
Gary J. Tuttle - 3 - August 9, 1984
Reclamation Costs (Exhibit L)
1) The reclamation cost estimates provided are based on the assumption that
reclamation is being done in the vicinity of the proposed pond. The
estimate should, however, be based on maximum anticipated cost of
reclamation during the duration of the project. In this case, it may be
more appropriate to consider reclamation costs during Phase II of the
project when there are 13 acres of major disturbance, 16 acres of moderate R"„~{~!•~~~
/ dis, turbance and 13 acres of minor disturbance; ~ is goy ing to
/ be part of the ond. ~~ftis estimate should assume redistribution_of hr adc~-~~ ~ ~
/ all overburden~opsoil stripped from this acreage. I recommend
that you increase your estimate by the actual anticipat~ts of
~ rertaving plant facilities and buildings, plus an allowance of 15~ of^total
direct reclamation costs as an allowance for indirect costs.
MJB/eas
8775E
