SHELTON, Director
Mr. Gary W. Davis
P.O. Box .37
1305 Goff Street
Eads, Colorado 81036
File No's.: 83-109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 111, 118 6 119
Dear Mr. Dav15:
In reviewing the above applications certain questions and comments need
to be addressed before these permit applications can be brought before
the August 24-25, 1983 Board meeting (your continuance Board date).
„Please have your response back to our staff by August 15, 1983 so that we
may have time to incorporate this information into your permit
applications. The following questions need to be addressed.
Exhibit B - Mininv Plan
The staff needs to know how long you will be mining at each of the above
pits. This information is used to determine the extent of the gravel
deposits and evaluation of your mining plan. Also, we will need to know
the adjacent land owners. on the following mines: 83-109, 83-110.
Exhibit C - MaD
The staff has determined by scaling off the distances on each map that .
most of these pits.exceed the less than 10 acres limitation for 110
permits. Therefore, staff suggests you conduct field evaluations of each
pit and determine if the surface disturbance exceeds 9.9 acres. If
disturbance 1s less than 9.9 acres, then submit new maps that include new
acreages up to the 9.9 acre limitation for 110 permits. If the acres
exceed 9.9, then you must submit a 112 application with all the pertinent
materials. The staff conducted afield inspection on June 1, 1Q83 of the
Murdock Ptt 83-112, and feels that this pit exceeds 9.9 acres and is
approximately 14-15 acres. Therefore, this permit should be included
under the 112 permitting process. The following acres were calculated
from your maps:
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street
Denver. Colorado 80203 Tel. (303) 866-3567
