Peabody will not alter any existing roads to be used for
access to the proposed drill sites. Vehicular travel will
be held to the minimum needed to conduct the exploration
program.
2. It ie anticipated that each drill pad disturbance will be
reclaimed within a week or two after drilling operations
are completed; therefore, a temporary berm constructed on
the down slope portion of each drill site should be
sufficient for sediment control. Should there be a delay
in reclamation activities, straw bales and/or other methods
of sediment control will be undertaken.
3. In all cases, drill pad disturbance will be kept to the
minimum required for drill rig access. Topsoil will be
salvaged and stored towards the end of each drill site. It
is anticipated that each drill pad will be reclaimed within
a week or two after drilling operations; therefore, no
temporary topsoil stabilization measures will be necessary.
Should there be a delay in reclamation activities,
temporary stabilization measures, including seeding, will
be utilized. The disturbed area surrounding the monitor
well will be regraded, topsoiled, and seeded as stated in
the Exploration/Reclamation Plan with no topsoil pile left
remaining.
4. Upon final abandonment of the monitor well with grout and
the placement of the cement plug, the PVC casing will be
cut off at three feet below ground surface, with the
remaining three feet of hole backfilled with topsoil,
compacted, and seeded.
Peabody Weztem Coal Company • 1300 Sp11h Yak Sheet • Flagzla(F, Arizona 86001 • Talaphone (604) 774.5453 • Fax (601) 773-43%
