CO-0027154 <br />ROUTT COUNTY, COLORADO <br />T0: Colorado Yampa Coal Company <br />0 011 ~10~1~~1~~0~0010 <br />Q~~~O~~~ <br />~UL 27 Y9~T <br />IZ~CI~M1~9Y ~~ ~® <br />DIVI$IOW <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br />Pursuant to the authority vested in the Division of Administration of the <br />Colorado Department of Health ("the division") by 25-8-301 to 308, C.R.S. <br />(1982 and 1985 supp.), which authority has been delegated to me by the <br />executive director of the department, I hereby make the following findings of <br />fact: <br />1. Colorado Yampa Coal Company ("Colorado Yampa") operates a coal <br />mine ("the mine") located southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Colorado <br />Yampa is a division of Yampa Valley Coal Corporation. <br />2. The mine and associated properties are the subject of Colorado <br />Discharge Permit System permit number CO-0027154 ("the permit"). The permit <br />was issued on September 8, 1986 and is scheduled to expire on June 30, 1991. <br />3. The permit authorizes discharge, within specific limitations, <br />from outfall 007 to Foidel Creek. Discharge from 007 consists of storm runoff <br />water and water from a spoils spring. <br />4. Foidel Cteek ie "state waters" as defined by 25-8-103(19), <br />C.R.S. (1982). <br />
