CWQCD issued a new discharge permit to the mine operator, P &
M Coal Mining, on November 27, 2002. The new permit reflects the elimination
of the sulfate and manganese instream limitations on the segment of Trout Creek
that receives the mine's discharges. There aze no limitations for those
constituents in the permit. The permit becomes effective January 1, 2003.
DIVISION OF
MINERALS
GEOLOGY
RECLAMATION
MININ G•SAFETY
Bill Owens
Governor
Greg E.
