It is our
understanding that this letter and the accompanying maps will serve as an amendment to the
application.
1) Page 1 ofthe Application erroneously stipulated a total of 9.12 acres in the permit area. We are
requesting a total acreage of 9.61 acres, consisting of the pit (9.12 ac) and the access road
(0.49 ac).
2) In Exhibit B we stated that there were no man-made structures withing 200 feet of the
proposed pit. We did not include the existing fence as a structure in our original application. This
fence is shown on the revised maps included in this amendment. To avoid confusion, however, a
brief explanation is in order.
It was originally expected that the westerly fence wou{d need to be moved to the property line
(See Mining Plan Map and Reclamation Plan Map). However, upon further reflection, we
decided to relocate the Mine Pit Area to avoid rebuilding the existing fence. Therefore, the
revised Mining Plan and Reclamation Plan Maps depict the current location of this fence and will
reflect a slight altering of the location of the mine pit permit area to keep it within the current
fence.
With this alteration, the farm sheds shown on the included maps are slightly under 200 feet from
the proposed pit. These structures are owned and used solely by the property owners for storage.
Dimensions to the pit are also shown on the revised maps.
