III I IIIIIIII IIII III Doc Date:12/11/2001 999 SECTION 1.0 1993 Annual Reclamation Report As specified by the revisions (1/3/90) to 2CCR 407-2, 2.04.13, page 74, Trapper Mine is submitting an Annual Reclamation Report for the previous calendar year (1993). Historically section 3.5.3 of Trapper's mining and reclamation permit required a reclamation map be sub- mitted to the CDMG annually by March 15th. Prior to 1988 the map was entitled the "Postmine Contour Map." As requested the title was changed in 1988 to "Reclamation Map." The reclamation map was developed from aerial photographs taken during the previous fall showing the pit advancements, recon- toured spoil areas for the year and an historical account of the previously regraded areas. The 1993 reclamation map is a composite of the aerial photographs taken in October, 1993, and the recla- mation performed during 1993 for all areas under bond. The map(s) (1.0) show the location and number of acres for the acres disturbed, the acres backfilled and graded, the acres topsoiled and the acres revege- tated during 1993. In addition, the location, number of acres and the planting dates for all previously revegetated acres are provided. 1.1 Permittee Identification The permittee for this annual reclamation report is: Trapper Mining Inc. P.O. Box 187 Craig CO 81626 Permit No. (C-81-010) 1.2 Results The 1993 reclamation results are presented in Table 1.1 and map(s) 1.0. The various reclamation stages are addressed below in separate subsections. 1.2.1 Disturbed Acres In 1993, Trapper disturbed 343 acres resulting from topsoil salvage, haulage corridor construc- tion, topsoil stockpile construction, sediment pond construction, and other miscellaneous activi- ties as approved by the Division. 1.2.2 Backfilled and Graded Acres Trapper backfilled and graded to final contour (AOQ approximately 264 acres in 1993. These acres were in Browning, Colt and Derringer pits. 1.2.3 Topsoiled Acres Trapper retopsoiled 274 acres during 1993 in Ashmore, Browning, Colt, and Derringer pits. 1.2.4 Species Planted The species and seeding rates used at Trapper during 1993 were presented and approved in TR- 63 (7/15/93). The mixes were seeded as approved (Table 1.1). There were 331 acres revege- toted to perennial species associated with mine pit(s) advancement.
