Permit No. M-88-044. <br />Persons Present <br />Maxine Stewart, Mark Davis -State Land Board <br />Gary Tuttle -Triad Western Corporation <br />Carl MoLlnt, Gregg Squire, Andy Moore -Division of Minerals and Geology <br />This operation is being conducted on State Land Board property. <br />This meeting was held to update the State Land Board on the current status of the mining activity <br />and to make recommendations pertaining to a possible expansion of the Land Board Lease and <br />mining a<:tivity. <br />Greg Squire, Andy Moore, Mark Davis, and Gary Tuttle had inspected the site prior to the <br />meeting. Observations made at the site included: <br />a) Overall, the reclaimed grading looks good. <br />b) The reclaimed areas need reseeding. <br />c) In areas where the mining went deeper than eight feet below the base of the <br />mature cottonwoods the trees were dying. <br />d) New cottonwoods were regenerating on bare areas along the creek, but do not <br />survive unless protected from grazing. <br />
