12 to 18 inches of very poor quality topsoil is removed from the
surface. ,,

Topsoil is presently being stockpiled along the northwest pit
boundary inside the pit area.

Present projections indicate a minimum of 20 years.
E. Ilow do you plan to smooth and contour the sides and bottom and
reestablish Che intermittent stream?
The north, northwest and southwest pit banks will be backsloped
at 3 to 1. The southeast face is proposed at 2 to 1 to match the
_..... contour above it. The classification of the drainage as an inter-
mittent stream was erroneous. This deposit is an alluvial fan at
the mouth of a small valley. If it were an intermittent stream,
there would be a water table in the bottom of the pit and none
exists. The only water is from surface runoff in times of heavy
precipitation and this has been diverted around the pit area.
F. How do you plan to prevent water from running into the pit?

A diversion berm c~as placed above the pit area years ago to divert
surface runoff.

On the Affected Areas Map which lists adjacent landowners is the
statement "All placer claims held by Hart Rok Redi Mixt Concrete,Inc.
Also in Exhibit "0",Source of Legal Right to Enter, is a copy of
the deed from Donald K. Long and Betty Diane Long deeding properties
to Hart Rok Redi Atixt Concrete, Inc.Please note that the placer
claims are included in this deed.
