~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~
LIMITED IMPACT AYri,l~r. siv ~~ , ~..,~, EXHIBITS
FOR LEONARD AND REINO LOUKONEN
Exhibit "A"--Legal Description
Parcel #1:
W 1/2, Section 6, Township 3 North, Range 70 West,
Boulder County, Colorado.
Parcel #2:
SW 1/4 of Section 1, Township 2 North, Range 71
West, Boulder County, Colorado.
Exhibit "B"--Mining Plan
Parcel #1:
The rock quarried in this area is sandstone. The
rock is already exposed in open pit areas. We do not plan
to expand this area, but will contain our operations to
previously opened quarry areas.
Extraction is by manual means with the use of
wedges and hammers. A wench truck or loader is used then to
lift and carry the sandstone.
Parcel #2:
There are two types of rock being quarried in this
area: dolomite and sandstone. See the attached maps for
further detail.
There are two sandstone quarries, which stone is
extracted by the manual means as described above. The one
area to the north will not be expanded. The sandstone
located in the draw is already exposed and this quarry area
may be exposed on the north and south sides of the draw.
There is also a dolomite quarry and although there
has not been any rock gathered from this area since 1961, we
may still collect some rock from this quarry. This is an
open pit area. Any expansion would be to the north. The
extraction method here is by drilling and the use of explo-
sives.
