<br /> <br />Northern <br />' Coal <br />~~ Company <br />DATE: January 6, 1981 <br />T0: Lloyd Edmisten <br />Mark Kenner <br />FROM: Diane Geyer ~ <br />RE: Outline of Water Monitoring System <br />and Pond 002 Dewatering Records. <br />Face Dewatering Record <br />iii iiiiiiiiuiiim <br />999 <br />Face Dewatering, Sump Dewatering, <br />Purpose: To keep an accurate record of water being produced by the <br />seams mined in order to identify any increase in water <br />quantity while mining near and under Curtis Creek. This <br />will keep us in compliance with CMLRB requirements. <br />Procedures: Dewater faces until dry, once a week (on the same day <br />of each week)., into the 1st East Sump, through a total- <br />izing flow meter. The record book is to be kept by the <br />flow meter. <br />Record Ingredients: 1. Date pump on and off. <br />2. Time pump on and off. <br />3. Totalizing reading when puma on and off <br />4. Operators initials. <br />Upper Sump Dewatering Record <br />Purpose: To keep an accurate record of water being pumped from the <br />sump into the pond. <br />Procedure: Dewater sump into the pond through a totalizing flow meter. <br /> <br />Pond sh <br />ould be fil <br />led above gate valve to ..e-~„~ ~ <br />paw <br />P <br /> g r fore ,7_~ <br />u <br /> _ ~~ <br />.atr~-no more than 1 (one) foot above gate valves <br />"--- `--rz-e,a.a.
