The application contains no statement pertaining to whether Storm King <br />Mines has operated another coal mine in the United States within the past five <br />years. <br />Other Licenses and Permits - Rule 2.03.10 <br />1. The application does not contain copies of NPDES and emissions permits. <br />To complete the application, copies of the permits or applications for the <br />permits must be incorporated into the permit application. <br />Surface Water Information - Rule 2.04.7(2) <br />1. The baseline hydrologic monitoring information from site CR-2 does not <br />extend for one complete year. To complete the application, the data collected <br />in January, and February of 1984, must be incorporated Into the application <br />and subsequent data collected at this site should be incorporated on a monthly <br />basis. <br />/ Vegetation Information - Rule 2.04.10 <br />1. The vegetation information presented in the application is a summary of <br />information collected in 1981, 1982, and 1983. To complete the application, <br />Storm King must submit the baseline vegetation information collected in 1981, <br />1982, and 1983. <br />Fish and Wildlife Information - Rule 2.04.11 <br />1. The applicant has not provided information regarding the proposed design <br />of electric transmission and power lines to minimize raptor electrocution. <br />Electric power lines and other transmission facilities used for or incidental <br />to the mining operation must be designed in accordance with the guidelines set <br />forth to the Environmental Criteria for Electrical Transmission Systems (USDI, <br />USDA, 1970), or in alternative guidance manuals approved by the Dl vision. <br />Distribution lines must be designed and constructed in accordance with REA <br />Bulletin 61-10, Powerline Contacts by Eagles and Other Large Birds, or in <br />alternative guidance manuals approved by the Division. <br />
