We
have passed your report on to them and will follow up this spring
when the weather conditions permit mining to resume. My responses
will correspond with the numbering under recommendations in your
report. Thank you for notifying Sievers Ranch of possible problems
that exist on the site.
1. Once the operator is not disturbing the top soil stockpile on
an regular basis they will be seeded with the approved seed
mixture. By waiting until the stockpiles will no longer be
disturbed it will save on seed costs and allow the cover crop
time to establish its' self with out being disturbed.
2. We will point this out to the operator and request they
either move the piles to a setback area or some other area
they will be out of the way of mining.
3. If weather conditions permit this will be done by the date
you requested, April 30, 1987. However as we know conditions
in the mountain may not allow this to be done, we will
advice the operator to move the pile as soon as possible and
to refrain from mining below it until it is moved.
