,, Inspection Repor~
Sievers Ranch Pit -
3. continued
MLR File NO. 77-98 •
Garfield County
Page 2
Stripping 50 feet ahead of mining is not feasible under the
present mining plan. It states the mining will done in two
benches. The first one to be from the surface to approximately
35 feet. During this first benching operation topsoil will be
stockpiled for later reclamation requirements and it will be
possible to do the stripping as you requested. The limitation
being, once the operator has stripped the entire stage it is
against the approved plan to strip any area outside that
stage until mining is nearly complete on the second bench.
4. It is our understanding that this is being done. we will
again remind the operator that they must salvage as much as
possible to meet the reclamation requirements as approved.
Thank you for taking the time to inspect this pit myself and
Sievers Ranch and Development Company appreciate it. If you have
any questions please donot hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
ENVI NMENT/, INC.
~~`i'-'ate
Stevan L.
