The extension was granted until June 28, 2002. A copy <br />of this letter is enclosed for your convenience. <br />We requested this extension to allow the preparation of aerial topographic maps of the Gypsum Ranch <br />and Powers sites. These maps will allow us to better identify the sites for corrective action. The lack <br />of good maps has been an issue and a cause for problems since we acquired the properties. <br />On May 9, 2002 we hired Johnson Kunkel and Associates (JKA) to perform the work. Subsequently, <br />JKA hired Enerquest Systems to do the aerial segment of the project. Enerquest has been delayed in <br />their work because of aircraft maintenance, bad weather, and out-of--state work. With this letter you <br />find the documentation letter from JKA outlining the situation. <br />This letter states that the anticipated date for us to receive the mapping product is now July 1, 2002. <br />This delay will not allow us to use the maps to prepare our technical revisions by the extension date of <br />June 28, 2002. <br />Therefore we are obligated to request a second extension on this work to July 31, 2002. We regret this <br />delay but hope you understand it is beyond our control. <br />Please call me if you have any questions.
