Gunnison No. 1 Mine <br />CMLRD Permit No. C-007-80 <br />Dear Susan: <br />The following report is for the 4th Quarter, 1986. <br />Weather conditions during the quarter were moderate with <br />light precipitation occurring throughout the quarter. <br />No weather related problems occurred during the quarter. <br />Mine Site - General <br />The mine site is in good condition and no problems have <br />been noted. Due to layoffs of personnel, the three <br />engineering trailers have been moved to the bathhouse <br />level to consolidate the smaller staff. <br />Production has declined to approximately 250,000 tons <br />per year. <br />Main Topsoil Pile <br />No topsoil was placed in or removed from the pile during <br />the 4th quarter. Topsoil placed from Phase III of the <br />lower refuse pile in the 3rd quarter was seeded. No <br />mulch was used due to weather conditions. The pile <br />appears to be in good condition. No erosional <br />problems, slope stability problems, or other problems <br />were noted. <br />Lower Refuse Area Topsoil Pile <br />No topsoil was placed in or removed from this pile <br />during the 4th quarter. The pile appears to be in good <br />condition. No erosional problems, slope stability <br />problems, or other problems were observed. <br />Lower Refuse Area Subsoil Pile - Sylvester Gulch <br />No subsoil was placed in or removed from this pile <br />during the 4th quarter.
