OBSERVATIONS OF IMPORTANCE:
1. Work force has been reduced to about 20 employees.
2. Most recently burnt underground retorts, retorts 7 and 8, are being quenched with
with water to reduce heat in these retorts.
3. No new disturbances have occurred at the site for about one year (ie.: all
activities are confined to previously disturbed lands).
4. The operator has been doing final reclamation on those areas that will not
be disturbed again. These areas are being graded so that they blend in well
with adjacent undisturbed areas.
