INSPECTION REPORT -2-
FILE N0. 77_q~q
DATE: .hilt' 7, i4R~
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The operator is doing an outstanding job of final reclamation of some severe
steep slope areas. The operator is doing what the Division would classify as
"state-of-the-art" reclamation of pulling previously cast over material back
onto old road cut areas. Once this material has been returned to the area
(this creates a slope that blends into the surrounding areas) the area is then
seeded to eventually have this disturbed area blend into the natural
environment. The Division highly commends the operator for the excellent
grading and revegetation program and the hioh level of environmental
responsibility apparent on the site.
The operator should be aware that if no mining activity occurs at the site
for more than 180 days, the operator should request for temporary cessation
from the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
The operator may want to go back into old road reclamation areas and use the
techniques developed as discussed under point No. 1 above.
/ep
(1/83)
Doc, No. 153
