Dear Daniel:
The purpose of this letter is to respond to the comments you provided in your February 19, 2021,
Adequacy Review for the North Weld Gravel Pit 112c Construction Materials Amendment
Application, M-1976-018. The responses are formatted to match the order of the comments
received.
General Requirements
1. We understand that this amendment application will not be approved until the Succession
of Operator application has been approved. C&H Aggregates is currently working with
DRMS to get the Successions of Operator application approved.
Rule 6.4.4 Exhibit D—Mining Plans
2. The updated mining plan maps show that C&H Aggregates will be mining at the North
Weld Gravel Pit in 5 different phases, starting from phase 1 and concluding the mining
operations after phase 5. Phase 1 to 5 has an area of approximately 125 acres each and
phase 5 has an area of 22 acres as shown on the attached mining plans C-1 and C-2. The
mining at this site will start as soon as the C&H Aggregates has received all the required
permits and will continue for approximately 21 years as per the given below schedule:
