Everist, Incorporated, respectfully responds with Additional Information as requested in your review of our
Technical Revision submittal(dated 01/31/19)for the Firestone Gravel Resource, DRMS Permit M-1996-052.
Thank you for correcting the permitted acreage to 342.79 acres, as we described in the TR submittal. We will
submit a permit amendment later this year to add the 2.09 new acres which we requested be included in the TR.
We have changed the reclamation bond to accept and reflect your suggestion of bonding for existing and
proposed disturbance, rather than maximum disturbed acreage. The reclamation requirements at this time include
bonding for the entire compacted liner in Stage 3 and the small lake in Stage 2 for a total liner length of 13,000
feet more or less. The cost for dewatering changes as well. We understand the state's requirement to bond for
the full cost of the liner until the liner has been certified—so the revised bond amount reflects that requirement.
We have removed the slope contingency cost since we do not get credit for completed slopes.
Please note that when Steve reviewed your volume estimate based on a 35-foot average height he found what is
presumed to be a minor mistake. You indicate the slope volume per 1000 feet is 136,111 cubic yards but using a
formula (hxb/2)/27 cft/cyd it should be 68,055 cyd/1000ft. The revised bond estimate worksheet uses this volume
to calculate the cost of sloping in Stages 2 &3 where ground water is exposed at this time.
The following table shows the perimeter distances current and future for Stages 2 thru 5.
LINEAR FEET+/-
Stage Current exposed Current completed At build out
2 2,650 0 5,090
3 8,790 5,570 10,350
4 0 0 3,775
5 0 0 15,605
Please see the attached Reclamation Cost Revision and Table(revised 02/08/19)for full details on the
disturbance, liner lengths, other reclamation needs, and estimated costs.
FIRE-DRMS-TR-Additionallnfo-Feb2019
