During 2015, a number of permitted activities occurred under Permit and Minor Revision approvals (summarized as follows), with most of the permitted activities occurring within existing disturbance areas (no change in acreage unless otherwise noted): PRI 5-11, WCR Development and Mining wo/Federal Lease Modification (submitted 07/06/15, approval pending) MRI 5-286, Officer and Director Updates (submitted 03/10/15, approved 03/23/15) MR15-287, Offset Drill Zones 11 and WC -030 (submitted 04/06/15, approval pending cultural resources report, +12.9 acres Disturbed) MR15-288, 5MN Water Pipelines (submitted 06/17/15, approved 08/18/15, +4.6 acres disturbed) MR 15-289, 10 -East Emergency Borehole (submitted 07/31/15, approved 09/30/15, +1.5 acres disturbed) MR] 5-290, CRDA Soil Stockpile Relocation (submitted 10/02/15, approved 10/28/15, +5.2 acres disturbed) MR 15-291, 13 -Left Outby Utility Borehole (submitted 11/11/15, approved 12/23/15, +3.5 acres disturbed) MR15-292, ]3 -Left Outby Utility Borehole Cultural Resource Survey (submitted 11/27/15, approved 12/01/15) Changes in permitted disturbed and affected area acreages during 2015 included increases in the permitted disturbed and affected acreage of 14.8 acres (MR's 15-288, 289, 290, and 291). Additional permitted surface disturbance during 2015 resulted in a cumulative total for permitted surface disturbance of approximately 726.4 acres. Please refer to the revised maps and text associated with the revisions referenced above, for specific details. Key mining and related activities occurring during 2015 included: r Ongoing development and longwall mining operations in the WMD i- Additional soil material stripping and extension of the underdrain, ongoing refuse placement activities, and reclamation of the completed second bench of the Coal Refuse Disposal Expansion Area r Continuation of planning and field confirmation activities (water monitoring drillholes and coreholes) for development and mining of the WCR i Plugging, sealing, and reclamation of 36 exploration borehole and drill -sites Initiation of feasibility evaluation and preliminary design for passive water treatment system for future Wolf Creek mine dewatering
