The drilling
will be done in two phases, Phase I consisting of 13 holes (A -M), and Phase II consisting of 8
holes (N -U). NSI does not intend to drill all 21 holes. Drilling order will be approached in such a
manner that some holes will only be drilled if insufficient or unexpected data is collected from
previously drilled holes. Instead of drilling Phase I & II over a 3 to 4 year period, both Phase I &
II will be completed in 2014.
The majority of the core holes will be drilled and immediately plugged back and abandoned, and
the locations reclaimed. A select few of the core holes will be plugged back and completed as
ground water monitoring wells. We plan to permit the 21 locations for 2 holes with the second
hole as a contingency in case problems are experienced with the primary hole. Attached is the
documentation describing the program in more detail, well locations, a map of proposed
locations, well construction, reclamation plans, etc.
Should you have any questions or comments, please contact me at (970) 254 -1224 or (970)
216 -1010 (c), or Bob Warneke at (970) 3554590.
Regards,
er,G ald J.
