Natural Soda, Inc.
2014 Resource Drilling Program (RDP)
Prepared for
Natural Soda, Inc.
by
Daub & Associates, Inc.
Grand Junction, CO
Introduction
Natural Soda, Inc. (NSI) is proposing a 21 well resource definition exploration program
critical to NSI's planning and future development. The wells will be core holes, drilled to
further define the thickness and areal extent of the Boies Bed nahcolite and other saline
mineral intervals in the Parachute Creek Member of the Green River Formation. Two
drilling phases are anticipated (Table 1). Phase I drilling will include thirteen wells (A -M)
located in closer proximity to the NSI plant and current mining operations (Figure 1A). A
number of these core holes will help define the nahcolite /halite transition zone in the
Boies Bed. Phase II drilling will include eight wells (N -U) located in the western portion of
the NSI sodium lease (Figure 1A & Figure 18). NSI will drill these wells in a phased
approach to build upon knowledge gained on a well by well basis. As a result not all 21
wells will be drilled. Drilling order will be approached in such a manner that some holes
will only be drilled if insufficient or unexpected data is collected from the previously drilled
holes. The majority of the wells that are actually drilled will be plugged and abandoned,
and the associated disturbance immediately reclaimed. A select few of the Phase 1 wells
will be completed as groundwater monitoring wells and /or subsurface subsidence
monitoring wells, as applicable.
Core Hole Locations
The proposed core holes are located within the NSI sodium lease, with thirteen wells
(phase 1) more proximal to the NSI plant, and eight wells (phase II) located in the western
portion of the lease. The well /pad locations have been scouted, staked, and
Daub & Associates, Inc. NSI 2014 Exploration Program
Page 1 of 10 Revised 3/14/14
