Division understands that weather conditions are a valid concern for maintenance scheduling.
BRL can determine how best to schedule sediment removal from the pond, as long as BRL
ensures that the pond is in compliance with Rule 4.05.6(3)(b) requiring that ponds provide for
adequate sediment storage volume and periodic sediment removal to effect compliance with
appropriate discharge effluent limits. Please revise the page to include a sentence stating that
at no time will sediment accumulation in the pond be in excess of the maximum storage level.
7. On Page 17 of Volume IX, the first full paragraph makes mention of the September 5, 2012
Buckhorn analysis (for TR -75). Please revise this paragraph to also include the November 20,
2012 analysis that was done in response to the Division's adequacy comments.
8. On Page 18 of Volume IX, the last sentence states that the six working piezometers are shown
on Figure 1. This does not appear to be the case — perhaps this layer has been turned "off" on
Figure 1. Please revise the plan view on Figure 1 to illustrate the locations of the piezometer
installations.
9. Please update Page 18 of Volume IX to include the vibrating wire piezometers (VWP9 and
VWP10) that were installed in May 2012.
10. The pagination of Appendix B pages 3 -end are inconsistent with the submitted pages App. B -1
through B -2. Please renumber Appendix 8 for consistency.
11. The Subwatershed Hydrology Detail table is provided on page 17 of Appendix B. There are three
subwatersheds that should be assigned a curve number of 90 given the current and anticipated
pile expansion configuration. Please revise SWS2 for Structure #36 (Ditch F17), SWS1 for
Structure #8 (Ditch F5), and SWS1 for Structure #18 (Ditch F14) to a curve number of 90.
12. On pages 19 and 20 of Appendix B, the Time of Concentration Details appear to have a few
minor errors in the slope information. Please verify and /or revise the Time of Concentration
Details for Structures #11 and #23.
13. The Structure Summary table from the Sedcad run for the 100 -yr event was not included in the
submittal. Please provide the Structure Summary table so that we can verify the discharge
values used to size the ditches and culverts.
14. The Structure Detail output page from the Sedcad run for West Diversion #1 was not included in
the submittal. Please provide design information for West Diversion #1.
15. Page App. B -2:
a. Please revise the table consistent with the design information provided for Culvert C -F4
(should be a 30" culvert.)
b. The design information submitted for Ditch F16 indicates that the ditch will be triangular,
but it is listed as trapezoidal on page App. B -2. Please verify which is correct and make the
appropriate revisions for consistency.
c. Please revise the table to indicate instances where the constructed ditch lining or culvert is
in excess of the requirement so that it is clear that the larger sizing is not a design
requirement.
