A Glover analysis was performed, using the following inputs: <br />Distance from river: 510 ft (evap.: measured from centroid <br />150 feet (dewatering: measured from edge of pit to river) <br />Distance from alluvial boundary: 1730 ft (evaporation) <br />2150 ft (dewatering) <br />Transmissivity: 26,000 gpd /ft <br />Specific yield: 0.2 <br />You have calculated the total lagged depletions to be 40.71 acre -feet (see attached Table 3). <br />REPLACEMENTS <br />Valco will use 25 shares of the Canon City and Oil Creek Ditch, which you have estimated will <br />yield 38.34 acre -feet annually. In addition, Valco has negotiated a lease with the UAWCD for 14.9 acre - <br />feet of District Consumable Water. The lease is dated May 24, 2013 and is valid for a period of one year. <br />Conditions of Approval <br />This substitute water supply plan is hereby approved pursuant to Section 37 -90- 137(11), C.R.S., <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. This SWSP shall be valid for the period of June 1, 2013 through May 31, 2015, unless otherwise <br />revoked, modified, or superseded by decree. Should an additional SWSP be requested, such <br />renewal request must be submitted to this office with the statutory fee of $257 per gravel pit at <br />least 45 days prior to the expiration date of this plan. <br />2. No more than 30.1 acres (14.7 acres of post -1981 exposure) of ground water may be exposed at <br />the Canon City East Pit during this plan year without first obtaining an amendment to the plan. <br />The above acreage totals include any surface areas in ponds to which de- watering water is <br />delivered. Documentation of pond sizes may be required by the Division Engineer in the form of an <br />aerial photo evaluation or survey by a Professional Land Surveyor during the plan year <br />3. Subject to approval by the Division Engineer, the Applicant may lease or purchase additional <br />replacement water from the sources approved in this plan. The Applicant must provide a copy of <br />a lease /purchase agreement to the State Engineer's Office and the Division Engineer for use of <br />such additional replacement water. Should any of the leases expire prior to the expiration of this <br />plan, lease renewals must be obtained and submitted within 2 weeks of their expiration. <br />4. Approval of this SWSP is for the purposes stated herein. The State Engineer's Office must first <br />approve any additional uses for which the water may be used. The replacement water, which is <br />the subject of this SWSP, cannot be sold or leased to any other entity during the term of this <br />SWSP without prior approval of the Division Engineer. <br />5. The Applicant shall provide to the Division Engineer, within 30 days of the date of this approval, <br />an electronic Excel spreadsheet showing, by WDID, the owner or contact person name, address <br />and telephone number for each structure covered or used in this SWSP. The Applicant shall also <br />provide to the Division Engineer an updated version of this spreadsheet if there are any owner or <br />contact person changes within the approval period of this SWSP. <br />6. The Applicant shall provide daily accounting (including, but not limited to diversions, depletions, <br />replacement sources, and river calls) on a monthly basis.
