Approved page 2.05 -3 states that Map 23C identifies the proposed subsidence monitoring
locations. These locations were not identified on Map 23C. Please revise the proposed page to
identify the correct locations of'subsidence monitoring, or revise Map 23C to include subsidence
monitoring locations.
Response: TC conducted extensive subsidence monitoring during the initial longwall mining
operations in the EMD and NMD to evaluate and verify the accuracy of the pre - mining subsidence
evaluations. and to assess subsidence effects on area streams and surface structures, including roads.
the rail spur. and powerlines. Subsidence monitoring results correlated very closely with the
subsidence evaluations and projections, and verified that mining - related subsidence was not adversely
impacting drainages, structures, or renewable resource lands.
