Colowyo employees <br /> who participated in the inspection included Kurt Blunt(both days) and Tony Tennyson(morning of July <br /> 9). <br /> The weather was clear on both days. The ground was dry. <br /> AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION—Rule 4.17: <br /> Water trucks were observed controlling dust from roads,the West Taylor Fill area, and from the work <br /> being performed by the scraper fleet on the West Pit spoil pile("Hink's Peak"). <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2;Highwall Elimination <br /> 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of <br /> Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> A scraper fleet was grading the West Pit spoil pile("Hink's Peak"). <br /> The 102 dragline was idle at the West Pit lot. The 103 dragline was idle in the West Pit. (The 101 <br /> dragline has not been in operation for many months; it sits on the ridge between the East Pit and West <br /> Pit.) <br /> EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09 <br /> Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br /> Trucks were dumping spoil material on the West Taylor fill after hauling it from the South Taylor Pit <br /> (apparently it is overburden from G7 or G8). <br /> Rills have been repaired on the surface of the West Taylor Fill, as seen from the West Taylor Pond.
