Showers <br />Wind: Calm to Gusts at times <br />i <br />Ames: None <br />Ames: None <br />Project Issues: None at this time <br />Planning: Continuing Construction activities and scheduling for VLF and HWY 67. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (Phase 1) <br />Topsoil Stripping: <br />An Amec field representative observed topsoil being removed during this reporting period in several locations within <br />the VLF Phase I limits. Approximately 6 inches to 2 feet were removed in various locations throughout the project <br />site. Cat 740 articulating haul trucks were utilized to transport the topsoil to area 34 stockpile. <br />Structural Fill: <br />An Amec field representative observed the placement and compaction of structural fill for the HWY 67 embankment. <br />(See Figure 1). A Cat 563 smooth drum roller was used for compaction efforts and a Cat D10 and a Cat D8 were <br />utilized to push and place materials as structural fill in 18 to 24 inch lifts, then compacted by Method specification. <br />Production drilling was performed during this reporting period within the planned limits of the PSSA and several <br />locations within the Phase 1 Squaw Gulch VLF. Material generated was transported by Cat 777 haul trucks and used <br />as structural fill within the HWY 67 embankment. <br />An Amec field representative monitored structural fill material temperatures placed within the Hwy 67 embankment <br />during all shifts. Average structural fill temperatures were above 32 °F <br />Secondary Underdrain: <br />No work was performed on the Secondary underdrain during this reporting period. <br />Page t of 6 MLE2 WE 06.08.13.doc <br />
