Collom Area Geology Pre - Feasibility Report
total moisture values and then to the ash, Btu /Ib and sulfur values. These
moisture factors were not applied to the volatile matter or fixed carbon values of
the same data (erroneously). This moisture "correction" factor was stripped from
the coal quality spreadsheets and the actual coal quality values were transferred
into the drill hole database.
It was also determined that a large number of ASG values in the coal quality
spreadsheet has been determined using the SGS formula for calculating ASG. A
review of the original coal quality data (paper files) showed that ASG was not
part of the original sample analyses. Therefore, the calculated ASG values were
removed from the database.
It should be noted, that all coal quality data within the drill hole data base is
stored on a dry basis.
During the geological audit performed in March 2005, RTTS recommended that
additional checks for gaps and overlaps be added to the drill hole database.
Tools now exist to check the entire database for any drill hole with gaps or
overlaps. Tools also exist that require any gaps or overlaps to be corrected
before leaving the lithology and sample definition input screens.
7.3 Geological Modeling
As part of the 2004 Exploration Program, the geological reserve model was
expanded to encompass the full extent of the Colowyo and Collom resource
areas. The aerial extent of the geologic reserve model is bounded by the
coordinates shown in Table 7.1
August 2005 Page 27 of 38
