Class III Inventory, Colowyo's Collom Mine Project 41
Figure 6.7 Overview of Site 5MF6061 and Feature 1, Looking Northwest (Taken by Beth
Karpinski, 8/15/05).
floor consists of 1 x 12 -inch planks over joists with no evidence of any original floor covering
treatment. The side -gable roof has a low slope and common rafter frame. It has 1 x 12 -inch board
sheathing that was originally covered with corrugated sheet metal. A hole was cut through the
boards for a stovepipe chimney that is no longer extant. Access and egress was through two simple
frame doorways. A single fixed sash window was noted.
The most common construction material consisted of 1 x 12 -inch boards. The majority of these were
6 ft in length, although some were cut shorter as needed. Wire nails were used throughout.
Provision for electricity was provided through a ceramic insulator attached to the exterior wall
beneath the roof peak.
47599 TRC Mariah Associates Inc.
