AGGREGATE
INDUSTRIES
Mr. Tony Waldron, Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
May 16, 2013
Page Two
Varied contours will provide for establishment of a mix of upland, wetland and riparian
zones, creating a diverse habitat for a variety of wildlife, migratory birds and raptor
species found along the South Platte River. The reclaimed land form will accommodate
Metro's temporary and permanent uses on the land. It will further accommodate the open
space use for Adams County, to whom Al intends to deed the parcel following
completion of reclamation and mitigation activities.
The parcel to which this revision is requested is identified on the enclosed Exhibit A
aerial photo printed from the Adams County Web Mapping site. Riparian and wetlands
areas and seeding areas are identified on the enclosure noted as Exhibit B, Seeding and
Mitigation Area. Seeding and planting plans for these areas are also enclosed. In
accordance with the agreement between Al and Metro, Metro will also construct and
maintain an all- weather roadway of varying width along the easement area. Seed mixes
for these areas are also enclosed as Exhibit C.
These enclosures, together with this letter and a check enclosed in the amount of $214.00,
are submitted by Al as its request for the technical revision required to accommodate the
proposed reclamation changes.
Please advise if you have any questions or need additional information to approve this
request.
Very truly yours,
/7
Connie N.
