In addition to thee efforts, import of topsoil will be encouraged over the life of the mine. Good top-
soil will be placed in Stockpiles 91 and #2. Poorer material may be added to the Substitute Subsoil
Stockpile.
Since a total of 35.56 acres will require re- topsoiling, an average depth of 6 inches will require a
quantity of 28,685 cy. The current available amount in stockpiles is 9100 cy, and an additional
amount of 8 inches is available from 11.0 acres of land that has not yet been disturbed. This will
yield an additional 11,831 cy. Therefore the total soil available will be 20,931 cy. Therefore, im-
port of approximately 7753 cy will be needed to complete the reclamation over the life of the mine.
This should not be a problem.
All fines piles will be constructed to 2.5H1 V slopes and will be seeded and mulched if they are to
be in place over two years. The temporary seed mix for any topsoil or substitute fines piles is given
below:
The topsoil /fines stockpiles will be seeded with the following seed mix:
Topsoil Stockpile Seed Mix Lbs. /acre
Slender Wheatgrass
6.0
Western Wheatgrass
6.0
Thickspike Wheatgrass
6.0
Crested Wheatgrass
3.0
Perennial Rye Grass
3.0
Cicer Milkvetch
1.0
Utah Sweetvetch
1.0
Total
26.0
Gloria Z Mine 2013 Amendment 14
