(h) The wash plant will use 350 gallons of water per minute. The water will be pumped from the
existing pond through 4 inch lay flat hose to the wash plant. The water will then be recycled.
(i) The wash plant will dewater into a slimes pond with a French drain. This water will flow into the
pond for reuse. There is no ground water on site; it is only 12 —17 feet to bedrock. The water
the ponds receive comes from snowmelt and may or may not last the season. The mine will be
a non - consumptive source of water.
(j) The Combination Placer claim has seven acre feet of deeded water rights. There will be no
release of water from the mine. The operation will be a non - consumptive source of water. The
water comes from snowpack. The length of the mining season will depend on how much water
can be put into storage from the snowpack.
(k) No acidic producing material will be excavated during mining, however if refuse is excavated it
will be hauled away from the site.
(1) All process ponds will be graded at 4:1 and compacted. The detention structures will have 2
feet of freeboard. These ponds will remain after the life of the mine to provide wildlife habitat.
(m) The operation will consist of two separate areas. First is the dry screening area. It will be
located near the mine face. This plant will consist of a 6 inches stationary grizzly, feeding a
vibratory screen deck. This screening cut will be 3 inches. The material will be removed from
the mine face and loaded onto a dump truck. The minus 3 inches will be trucked to the wash
plant.
At the wash plant the material will be conveyor feed to a hopper with spray bars. The material
will be slurried over a 16 inch wide by 8 foot long sluice to recover the course gold. The slurry
will be scrubbed in a trommel with a % inch screen, the minus % inch material will drop onto a 5
foot wide and 30 foot wide sluice. The oversize will eject at the rear of the trommel and be
stored in the tailings area. The sluice will de -water on the ground in a shallow pond with a
French drain. This material will then be moved to the tailings area.
(n) The primary commodity to be recovered will be gold. Decorative rock will be the secondary
commodity.
(o) Large angular rocks will be used in the construction of a French drain between the dewatering
area and the pond. Minus % inch aggregate will be used on the haul road as needed.
(p) No explosives will be used at the mine.
