Pineda <br />Director <br />RE: Sharp Pit #2, DRMS File No. M- 2013 -023 <br />110c Construction Materials Reclamation Permit Application Package <br />Preliminary Adequacy Review <br />Dear Mr. Friederichs: <br />The Division has completed a preliminary review of the permit application, and has the following <br />comments: <br />6.3.1 EXHIBIT A - Legal Description and Location Map <br />1. Map M -1 reads "The names of adjacent property owners of record are shown and labeled ", <br />however this information is not labeled on M -1. Please either clarify this statement or provide <br />information as to where the property ownership information is located. <br />2. Please provide a map with the proposed mine site shown on a USGS topographic quadrangle. <br />6.3.2 EXHIBIT B - Site Description <br />3. Please provide a description of the current vegetation at the proposed site. <br />4. The map provided shows a center pivot sprinkler is located within 200 feet of the eastern <br />proposed permit boundary. The sprinkler is a permanent man -made structure. (Examples of <br />permanent structures are: buildings, houses, barns, fences, above or below ground utilities, <br />irrigation ditches, maintained or public roads, bridges, railroad tracks, cemeteries, <br />communication antennas, pipelines, water wells, water storage structures, discharge and <br />conveyance structures.) Please provide either a copy of an operator /structure owner damage <br />compensation agreement, or if such an agreement cannot be reached, provide an engineering <br />evaluation that demonstrates the fence will not be damaged by activities at the mine. <br />6.3.3 EXHIBIT C - Mining Plan <br />5. The mining plan states topsoil will be salvaged at 1" -14 ". Please provide a smaller range of <br />topsoil to be removed, or please provide information to justify salvaging 1 " -14 ".
