5 <br />*Note that "life of mine" end of mining date may be subject to a <br />considerable variance regarding final mining date depending upon a <br />number of factors that cannot be accurately estimated at this time, such as <br />production demands, rock quality, new market development potentials, etc. <br />(f) A map (in Exhibit C - Pre - Mining and Mining Plan Maps(s) of Affected Lands, Subsection 6.4.3) may <br />be used along with a narrative to present the following information: <br />(i) nature, depth and thickness of the deposit to be mined and the thickness and type of <br />overburden to be removed (may be marked "CONFIDENTIAL," pursuant to Paragraph 1.3(3)); <br />and <br />(ii) nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material to be mined in sedimentary deposits. <br />Please see Exhibit C Narrative. <br />(g) Identify the primary and secondary commodities to be mined /extracted and describe the intended use; <br />and <br />The primary commodity being mined is the granite bedrock, processed to various grades /sizes of <br />aggregate rock products. The secondary product is granite rip -rap, sized from 4" cobble up to 3 -4' <br />boulders. These various products are used for a variety of end uses, including but not limited to: <br />erosion control and bank stabilization, road materials, concrete and construction aggregate, asphalt <br />aggregate road base, drainage and leach field rock, landscaping rock and boulders, and general <br />grading and backfilling material. <br />(h) name and describe the intended use of all expected incidental products to be mined /extracted by the <br />proposed operation. <br />No incidental products are expected to be produced from the site. <br />(i) Specify if explosives will be used in conjunction with the mining (or reclamation). In consultation with <br />the Office, the Applicant must demonstrate pursuant to Subsection 6.5(4), Geotechnical Stability Exhibit, <br />that offsite areas will not be adversely affected by blasting. <br />Explosives used on site are primarily ANFO initiated by AN activated cast boosters or gels and non- <br />electric delay systems. Estimated annual explosive consumption will range from 50 to 150 tons <br />depending on business demand. All explosives use, handling and storage is permitted and approved <br />by Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Division of Oil and Public Safety. Please see <br />Exhibit M for a list of active permits. <br />
