mining cycle approximately 1,000 cubic yards of -1/2 inch material from the offsite <br />crushing operation will be returned to the mine site and blended with overburden. After <br />removal of the rubblized material from the 60 foot by 60 foot by 40 foot 2015 mined <br />area, overburden will be removed from the area to be mined in 2016. Top soil would <br />have been removed from this area and used for reclamation in 2013. The 6,470 cubic <br />yards of in place overburden will produce 11,646 cubic yards or 10,500 ton of broken <br />material. 5,333 cubic yards of broken overburden will be placed in the 60 foot by 60 foot <br />by 40 foot 2015 mined area and the remaining 6,313 cubic yards of broken overburden <br />will be temporarily stored in the area to the southeast of the northwesterly mining <br />advance (MAP E7). <br />The area to be mined in the 2016 Phase 4 mining cycle would have been cleared of top <br />soil in 2013 and overburden would have been removed in 2015. The 2016 mining area <br />60 feet in width by 60 feet in length by 40 feet in depth will be drilled and blasted using <br />same procedures as previous mining operations and will produce approximately 8,600 <br />ton of oil shale which will be shipped off site for crushing and testing. As in the 2015 <br />mining cycle approximately 1,000 cubic yards of minus1 /2 inch material from the offsite <br />crushing operation will be returned to the mine site and blended with overburden. After <br />removal of the rubblized material from the 60 foot by 60 foot by 40 foot 2015 mined <br />area, overburden will be removed from the area to be mined in 2017. The 6,905 cubic <br />yards of in place overburden will produce 12,429 cubic yards or 11,200 ton of broken <br />material. 5,333 cubic yards of broken overburden will be placed in the 60 foot by 60 foot <br />by 40 foot 2016 mined area and the remaining 7096 cubic yards of broken overburden <br />will be temporarily stored in the area to the southeast of the northwesterly mining <br />advance (Map E8). <br />The area to be mined in the 2017 Phase 5 mining cycle would have been cleared of top <br />soil in 2013 and overburden would have been removed in 2016. The 2017 mining area <br />60 feet in width by 60 feet in length by 40 feet in depth will be drilled and blasted using <br />same procedures as previous mining operations and will produce approximately 8,600 <br />ton of rubblized oil shale which will be shipped off site for crushing and testing. As in the <br />2016 mining cycle approximately 1,000 cubic yards of minus1 /2 inch material from the <br />offsite crushing operation will be returned to the mine site and blended with overburden. <br />After the rubblized material is hauled from the 60 foot by 60 foot by 40 foot, 2017 mined <br />area and prior to removing overburden from the area to be mined in 2018, top soil will <br />be removed from the remainder of the area to be mined in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and <br />transported to Reclamation Area #2 (Map D2) where it will be placed as vegetative <br />growth medium on a 20,250 square foot area in preparation for re- seeding. After <br />removal of top soil, the upslope storm water diversion structure will be extended to the <br />northwest and overburden from the area to be mined in 2018 will be removed. The <br />
