Seed mixture used at the Bulldog Project
will be certified to be weed -free.
(2) These species are "native" to the area.
(3) Pure live seed pounds per acre. The seeding rate is based on
broadcast seeding and noncritical planting. Noncritical areas
> The WRSF will be graded from a construction slope of about 1.3H:1 V to a final reclamation
slope of 3H:1 V. Grading will be accomplished using a Cat D6 dozer or similar equipment.
> Growth material salvaged during site preparation activities will be hauled back to the
graded WRSF and replaced. Spreading of the growth material will be accomplished using
a Cat D6 dozer. Final grading will be conducted using a grader.
> Fertilizer will be applied as necessary.
> A mulch or hydro -mulch will be applied to all south - facing reclaimed slopes to retain
moisture.
> The vegetation seed mix for areas between elevations of 8,000 — 10,000 feet will be
applied to the reclaimed slopes. This seed mix was previously approved by the State of
Colorado DRMS and the Forest Service. See Table 1, Seed Mixture.
> All sediment control structures such as waddles will remain in place until vegetation
success is achieved.
Seeding will be conducted by hydro- seeding or broadcast seeding using certified weed -free
species mixtures previously approved by the Forest Service and Colorado DRMS. See Table 1,
Seed Mixture. The ultimate species selection will be based on a Forest Service listing of
reclamation plants, seed availability and cost. Whenever possible, RGS will conduct seeding in
the late fall to take advantage of moisture availability.
Table , Seed Mixture(1)
