Holcim's general plans for the resumption of mining at the Ranch Land site are as follows:
1. Complete mining operations at the Bear Creek Mine. Timing for the completion of mining
operations at the Bear Creek mine are dependant on ecomonic factors.
2. Obtain a modified DRMS operating permit to allow for limestone extraction from the Ranch
Land site to supply the cement plant. The permit modification will include details outlining
the size and scope of the mine operation at the Ranch Land site.
3. Resume mine operations once construction of the new minesite is complete. It is
anticipated that the size and scope of the operation would be similar to Holcim's existing
mine operations at the Bear Creek Mine
While the Ranch Land site is in Temporary Cessation, Holcim will ensure reclamation
requirements related to rule 3.1 are in place and maintained.
The existing Financial Warranty for the property is in the amount of $43,500. This amount was
determined to be sufficient based on the scope of disturbance outlined by the previous operation.
Since the amount of disturbance will not increase from what is currently existing at the site,
Holcim believes the current Financial Warranty is sufficient at this time.
In addition and as required, Holcim will continue to file the proper annual reports and fees as
required to keep this permit in place.
Should you have any questions or require additional information please do not hesitate to contact
me at (719) 784 -1209.
