Therefore, the soil <br />balance indicates a topsoil replacement depth average of 2 feet (24 inches). <br />• Soil Salvage, Storage and Replacement <br />No topsoil was replaced in 2012. Stockpile A contains 91.2 acre feet of topsoil. <br />See 2012 Topsoil Removal A1ap for Stockpile "A" location. <br />REVEGETATION <br />• Seeding and Shrub Planting <br />2012 ARR 2 <br />TABLE 12.1 <br />TOPSOIL STOCKPILE VOLUMES <br />Stabilization seeding was conducted within the disturbance area following construction of new <br />ditches surrounding the portal area and along a cut slope near Haul Road B. The seeding <br />included an upland seed mix and a mesic seed mix, depending on location. Table 12.2, PSCM <br />Upland Area Seed Mix and Table 12.3, PSCM Mesic Site Conditions Seed Mix, present the <br />permanent approved seed mixes. <br />It should be noted that Woods rose and Golden currant were not included in the Mesic seed mix <br />since this seed mix was used in the drainage channels. <br />Seed tags for the seed mixes used are contained in Attachment A — Seed Tags. <br />No shrubs or trees were planted in 2012. <br />• Weed Control <br />Surveys for noxious weeds were carried out on the PSCM reclaimed areas in 2012. Whitetop <br />and hounds tongue were the primary target species, with lesser activity directed towards areas of <br />thistle and mullen.
