cc <br />&v <br />amec( <br />Secondary Underdrain: <br />On Friday March 15th the secondary underdrain construction began within the lower portion of Swede gulch for the <br />Phase I Squaw gulch VLF. Approximately 550 feet of underdrain was installed per plans and specifications and is <br />expected to continue. <br />Tree /Slash Clearing, Chipping: <br />Seed Masters continues to "grind and chip" stockpiled trees and brush. Equipment (Seed Masters): one "Chipper", <br />one CAT 330 Excavator <br />B) Underground Workings <br />During the reporting period exploratory excavation and remediation were performed on UG Working No. 6036, No. <br />6037, No. 6061, No. 6073, No. 6074, No. 6075, No. 6076, No. 6077 and No. 6078. The sites were excavated to <br />practical refusal into rock varying depths depending on the working remediated. The site for each working was then <br />backfilled in 2 foot loose lifts to approximate planned subgrade elevation using the onsite structural fill (excavated <br />material) and `bucket tamped" with the back of the CAT 330 excavator bucket. AH backfill material was free of <br />organic material, ice and snow. <br />Confirmatory drilling continued on March 12th, which was performed during the reporting period on UG Working No. <br />6030, No. 6037 and No. 6076. All drill locations were spaced on 4( +1-) foot centers and drilled to specified depth. <br />C) Highway 67 <br />MHT #2 is in place and is working properly. No other work was performed for the existing HWY 67 crossing during <br />this reporting period. <br />II) Storm Water Management <br />A) Best Management Practices (BM') are being performed. Inspections continue and there have been no <br />issues identified. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />I) Field Activities: Construction activities and observation of clearing and grubbing, structural fill and compaction, <br />underground workings, HWY 67 progress observation were some of the tasks performed in the field as required to <br />project specifications.. <br />H) Laboratory Activities: Laboratory testing continued (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, Moisture- Density, <br />gradations and material identifications) were some of the laboratory testing performed during this reporting period as <br />required to project specifications. <br />General Project Items <br />Meetings and Discussions: None at this time. <br />Summary of Concerns: None at this time <br />CCU v: Working with CC &V Daily updates and reporting. A weekly Project Status meeting was held at 11:00am on March 12th <br />between CC &V, CDOT, Ames and Amec.
