EXHIBIT B : Mining Plan
Purpose of mining will be to obtain aggregate materials
for construction of Colorado Highway 91 which Climax Molybdenum
Company is paying the Colorado Division of Highways to have re-
located. Mining will occur over the whole area for seven months
during each of two years , approximately five acres per year.
Aggregate materials will be stockpiled within the boundary of the
alternate pit . Equipment will be dozers , loaders and trucks .
Washing will occur, but all discharge will be automatically
incorporated into the mill water circuit , for which an NPDES permit
(number CO-0000248) is in existence .
The haul road has been in existence for many years , thereby
requiring no additional disturbance.
The pit will be inundated with tailing in approximately
1997 , but will be reclaimed in the interim. Topsoil will be
stripped and stockpiled , although, because of the existence of
the sediment settling ponds and high rock content , not much
actual soil is available for stripping and stockpiling. Top-
soil will be used for reclamation of tailing pond dam.
