NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />FIELD REPORT <br />Project: Pond 16 Area Project No.: 08 -8099 Date: 11/9/11 <br />Remediation Time: 2.5 <br />Location: Routt County, CO Report No.: 14 Mileage: 74 <br />Client: Peabody Energy Engr. /Tech: JS <br />Work Performed: <br />We visited the project site on today's date to observe the remediation progress taking place at the Pond 16 Area. <br />Remarks: <br />While on -site we observed that Seneca Mine Crews had excavated into competent bedrock beginning above the <br />Pond 16 slide scarp and had worked down the face of the slope to an elevation approximately 6 to 8 feet below the <br />original elevation of the J and K Road. It should be noted that water was observed in the bottom of the slope <br />excavation at its current elevation. Seneca Mine Crews were also in the process of excavating the Pond 16A <br />underdrain located Northwest of the PM -2 Drainage. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Jim Rolando of Seneca Mine was aware of today's site visit and observations. <br />
